Happy Valentine's Day!

Today is an invitation to celebrate your loving connection with family and friends.

How often we cut ourselves short on the infinite love and joy we could be accessing in our daily life experience.

An elderly gentleman after over 50 years of marriage told me that he doesn't celebrate Valentine's Day because he has already said everything there is to say about his love for his wife. Other people complain about the commercialism.

But I say, "Celebrate the blessing of the love in your life! " Do it for free with a look, a word of appreciation spoken from the heart, a warm smile, that says, "Thank you, for being part of my life, for steadfastly loving me, even when I don't always show you my best self." Preferably do it every moment of every day, like my friend Tommy Transit so beautifully demonstrates while at work driving buses in Vancouver as well as at play.

Valentine's day is a reminder to make a special point to flow that energy of love and appreciation. Of course the more that we flow it, the richer and more loving we are and the more full of love our life becomes. We then open to the nourishing life force energy that is the essence of our being, and we are filled to overflowing with this healing light of love.

The more I practice loving kindness with myself and in all my relationships the more I enjoy a deepening and a richness in my life experience.
